The website, emails, and social campaigns all have this very consistent look and feel.
Used the lottie.js library to build animations for the website, coupled with After Effects.
Custom filters allow for this grunge look to remain in vector form, for scalability.
It's fun to be able to step out of your own personal aesthetic once in awhile, and that's exactly what I was able to do on the web design for Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch in Kearney, MO (north of Kansas City).
Outdoorsy, rustic, playful, colorful—those aren't words used to describe me, but they're certainly words used to describe Fun Farm. I wanted to evoke the feeling of actually being on location at the farm, with all its magical whimsy and country charm, so I utilized fun animations and a grainy, bold graphic style that exists throughout all the client's materials produced by our shop, at my direction.
All grunge, all the time. Clean, sharp lines just wouldn't feel quite right for this gritty, rustic, amazing rural experience.
They loved the look we built for them so much that they wanted us to redo their giant on-site maps. So we did.
No generic flat icons here. The graphics are all custom and colorful, and, well, un-flat.
Even for more "standard" sections of the website, I didn't play it straight—literally, I tilted images and gave them polaroid-esque border treatment to continue the "We just had the best time as a family at the Fun Farm!" motif.
